One unique way we achieve this supportive environment is through HubCubs, our dedicated initiative for parents, carers and of course grandparents within HubGem.

A Safe Space for Parents and Carers

Being a parent or carer comes with incredible joys and challenges. HubCubs provides a safe space for our team members to connect and share experiences. This space goes beyond just team chats filled with baby pictures (although those are welcome too!). Here's what HubCubs offers:

  • Quarterly Newsletters: Stay informed and connected through our dedicated newsletter packed with resources and tips. Topics can include:

    • Birthday celebrations
    • Potty training and sleep schedules
    • First steps and wobbly teeth
    • Back-to-school prep and extracurricular activities
    • Fun activities for kids of all ages
    • Parenting hacks and troubleshooting tips
    • Recent news and trends in parenting: Stay up-to-date on the latest parenting trends and research, such as the benefits of unstructured play or the importance of positive discipline.
    • Community events and resources: Discover local parenting groups, support networks, and community events that can connect you with other parents in your area.
  • Quarterly Meet-Ups: Get together with other parents and carers for casual coffee mornings to discuss the joys and challenges of raising a family. This is a great opportunity to vent, share advice, and build lasting friendships.

  • Headspace and MediGold support: Headspace offers a range of support and courses for carers and children. We offer live webinars and wellbeing support through MediGold to support our employees through this journey.
    • We also offer a Partner Family Plan through Headspace, for employees at no extra cost. Our team can invite up to 5 family members or friends to join.
  • Bump to Baby Package: We recognise that becoming a parent is a significant life transition and offer a comprehensive Bump to Baby Package to support our expectant employees. This package includes:

    • Childcare resources: Guidance on finding suitable childcare arrangements.

  • Bereavement Leave: We understand that coping with the loss of a child is an incredibly challenging experience. We offer enhanced parental bereavement pay to support our team members during this difficult time.
  • Carers Leave: Support for team members with caring responsibilities to balance work and care.
  • Flexible Work Arrangements: We offer flexible work options to balance professional and family duties.
