At HubGem, we love to give back to charity and our community! This month we took part in our biggest charity event so far, where our team tackled hills, peaks and mountains across the country to raise money and awareness in aid of our chosen charity, Children with Cancer UK.
Children with Cancer UK
We chose to raise money and awareness in aid of this incredible charity as the cause means a lot to us as a team. It is the leading national children's charity, dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. The charity funds life-saving research into the causes of childhood cancer, developing better, kinder treatments, and also raises awareness to inspire action and fund support for families through treatment and beyond.
What we achieved
As a remote working team, we are based all across the UK which meant that our hill climb took part in different locations throughout the country. Some of the team climbed together and others set out on a solo climb across some beautiful locations. We tackled all sorts of hills, peaks and mountains including Beacon Hill, Kinder Scout, Mayar and Driesh in Glencoe, Dorset Hills, Hubbards Hill, Kaim Hill, the Seven Sisters and Mousehold Heath. Overall we walked over 50km and over 100,000 steps!
How much we have raised
Overall, so far we have raised £200 in support of Children with Cancer UK! We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed and helped to spread awareness of the charity's incredible work- we know how much each and every contribution helps!
If you'd like to contribute towards this cause and help us to make a difference, you can donate here, every donation is hugely appreciated by all of us here at HubGem.
