Our top 7 online certificates to up-skill your marketing teams

As a Platinum HubSpot partner agency in the UK, we've undertaken a lot of great HubSpot Academy courses and have compiled a list of our top 7 free online courses for your education marketing & admissions teams. And with HubSpot world certification week upcoming (2nd August - 6th August, 2021), what better time than to develop your skillset!

HubSpot initially created this event in 2020 as a one day initiative, however this has grown into a week long event in 2021! And better yet, HubSpot has announced that for every certification awarded, they will donate $5 to education focused non-profit Teach for all (up to $35,000), and if you undertake your certification in Australia or New Zealand, your donation will go to GO Foundation.

HubSpot was able to donate $20,000 last year to UNICEF, and hopefully this can be topped this year! So not only do you benefit from getting certified in some amazing courses... you'll be raising money for charity too!

SEO

With 67% of all clicks going to the first five organic search results on Google, it's clear why SEO is important. SEO has become increasingly complex over the years as search engines become smarter, but ranking on the first page of Google isn't an impossible task.

Who is this course for?

This course is great for marketers and content creators, and to be honest it's probably a good topic for everyone to be clued up on. Often marketing teams call on people from other departments to write content for a website or blog, in which case having a whole team clued up on SEO might save the marketers from optimising every blog sent their way.

What will you learn?

In this course you'll learn to evaluate and improve your website's SEO (which means ranking higher)! You'll develop and understanding of backlinks and how to build them to scale and increase your website's visibility on search engines. You'll also learn how to effectively use insights from keyword research to improve your search performance.

How long will this course take?

This course is a little shorter than the others mentioned so far which is great if you want your whole team to learn SEO. The course is just over two hours long, and has 6 lessons, 24 videos and 5 quizzes.

You can access this course here.

We've also written a blog for education industry-specific SEO, with three actionable tips you can implement straight away - read the blog here.

Frictionless Sales

We're rounding this list up with a bit more of a sales focussed course, that's also the shortest course in the list. So if you find yourself proficient in all of the above courses, then why not hone in your sales skills too? This course will help you understand the shift from the sales pipeline to the flywheel. This course looks into friction and force in sales; often increasing the force of a sales team to move round the flywheel is easy, but understanding how to remove the friction is sometimes less clear.

Who is this course for?

This course is primarily for sales managers who can direct their sales team and help them move customers around the flywheel with ease. We've included this course in a marketing based blog for a reason though, having a great understanding of the flywheel and why centralising the customer experience is important will help tenfold with your marketing.

What will you learn?

In this course you'll learn how to remove friction from your sales processes so your sales team can spend more time selling. As mentioned earlier, you'll develop your understanding of the flywheel and how to keep your sales processes customer-centric. You'll also be able to align your sales team with your target buyer to sell with effectiveness, and encourage learning and education amongst your team.

How long will this course take?

This course is 1 hour long, including 3 lessons, 12 videos, and (you might be happy to hear) no quizzes!
