Planning quality content in advance is good practice for anyone implementing an inbound marketing strategy. A great way to generate interest in what you are saying is to join a wider conversation, particularly on social media. A strong content strategy will encourage you to embrace wider calendar events to create time-relevant, inspired content. Whether it's a national charity event, a bank holiday or international day of the unicorn (we made that one up... we think!), event inspired content is always popular.

Here are a few ideas for Valentine's inspired content for your school, college or university:

  • A video of your students talking about why they love studying with you
  • A blog article written by your students about the history of Valentine's Day
  • A 'love' inspired piece of student artwork shared as an image with some insight into the techniques used from the artist
  • A piece of music played by your students that is inspired by a love song (SoundCloud is a great platform for hosting this)
  • A blog article about the top ten reasons that visitors love your university's city (also a good opportunity to collaborate with your local tourism body and increase your reach)
  • An infographic showing data from student feedback on what they love about their GCSE subject choices
  • A video of your Head/Principal talking about why they love their job
  • An infographic of quotes from current parents talking about why they love being part of your school community
  • A blog article from your student charity committee about why they love what they do
  • A blog article for prospective parents advising them on how to find a school that their child will love

There are lots of ways to use events to inspire your content. We advise using an online database of events to plan your content in advance, there are a few to choose from including awarenessdays.com, daysoftheyear.com and nationaldaycalendar.com.
